welcome to goldvale . intro post #1
It begins with a flash of blinding light.
No matter what they’re doing, the light is so stunning that they pause to shield their eyes. Logically, it seems like such a bright light would hurt their eyes, and yet somehow, it’s not painful at all. It’s strange, but stranger still, a moment later, the ground underneath them is gone. They’re falling, and it feels like they’re falling for a long time as their eyes adjust after that light.
Yet, it’s not long at all—they’re only falling five feet or so. But as they, and others, appear in the air, there’s a shriek of alarm.
“Beryl—Go!!”
A man’s voice shouts after the scream, and as their eyes adjust, they’ll see two blurry figures, the woman running away while the man briefly stands his ground with a dagger raised before he takes advantage of the confusion to flee as well and cover her. You, and all of the other disoriented strangers, have been left alone. There might be a few bruises from the fall, but otherwise, there are no new injuries. It’s a strange lobby, but nothing about it seems helpful to reveal where you are. Following the two figures is fruitless too, since the door at the end of that hallway is sealed shut with magic—no one will be able to pass through.
So, just where are you?

DISTRICT: Silverbourne
The entertainment district. Bars, clubs, and other nightlife options find their home here. Most shops are only open at night, and it's fairly quiet during the day.
open | all 7 days of the week, just tell me the day!
In the afternoon, she takes walks by the lake that spans across Silverbourne and Ironwall, watching people play in the water or and take boat rides. It seems only couples are allowed for the latter. She heaves a heavy sigh. Even if it's just with a friend, she wants a romantic boat ride across the lake, too!
Unfortunately, she doesn't even have friends.
Now she's lonely and she wants to cry. ]
Ka Koubun, another handkerchief, please.
[ ...something she says out of habit. She probably mistook your presence for another person. ]
TERREDI?! i'm getting used to your lingo ok
[ He'd been a bit too distracted in his quest (Find Blue Beetle A Second Time) to notice that he had walked up near a sad looking girl... good job Bart you loser. ]
JUST SAY SATURDAY or did you mean the 5th, because that's sacredi/sunday IT'S A TYPO
I'm sorry! I did not realize—I thought you were my attendant. [ She bows down in apology. ]
I DON'T KNOW ANYMORE just goes with sunday 1/3
Oh — [ LMFAO WTF ARE YOU DOING WEIRD GIRL DON'T BOW!!!!!!! ] I can get you a handkerchief, though. No problem. I'll be just a second, literally.

let's say it's friday!!!!!!!
how easy. every gentleman worth his name carries a handkerchief on his person. basic and yet refined manners, those, and look how very convenient his own preparedness is in this situation.
casually he closes the distance between them (personal space??? lol what's that????), pulling the ever so important handkerchief from his pocket and holding it out for her to take. ]
Certainly.

[ The gullible Kougyoku falls for it, naturally. She dabs at her tears with Hirato's handkerchief, but never looks at him. ]
Oh, Ka Koubun, I would rather be at the palace than this dreadful city. Even training has become boring. I'm not allowed to spar with those above my rank! Don't you think that's unfair?

Ah, here. ( Waiting a bit, ) What's wrong?
i can work with that!
Thank you. It's just terrible, Ka Koubun... I thought I would be okay if I made some friends, but I cannot even make any in this world. Sometimes, I am afraid I scared Iceland away...

excuse you she's the kindest candidate he'll ever have
that's not a good trait to him. get with the program, princess!
she's just not cut out for this villain thing anymore...
minor antagonists always die, switch sides or get forgotten. this is the best option for her.
but her death flags are too many loki i'm scared
Anytime, Anyone!
Or any kind of a life, really.
If you're on your way through Silverbourne near the Performers' Guild, or near any of the rowdier places, you might feel the hairs prickle on the back of your neck. There are eyes on you.
And if you look up, you might even spot the ridiculously well-dressed boy sitting on an awning.]
naito!!!!!
he's even tempted to ignore it, but that goes against every second of training from back home. possible threats should never be ignored.
it's not until he reaches less crowded street that hirato decides to glance around and lo and behold, there's someone up above who's likely to be the source of that sensation. or not. remains to be seen. ]
Are you planning on giving a proper greeting or am I doomed to forever wonder who I met on this night?
no subject
Ignoring the cat calling he gets from some locals, he keeps at his pace, paying attention to the streets and buildings. It's when he noticed someone watching him that he stops in his track, discreetly scanning the immediate area around him before looking up at a boy on the awning of one of the shops. When their eyes met, he knows this is the culprit. Staring up at him, he wonders what he's doing up there.]
What are you doing up there?
no subject
He's also been singing, which he is doing as he half-flounces, half-spins down the street towards the awning where yet another person is watching him. It sounds like it might be a birthday song, improvised... He gives one last enthusiastic spin on the last line of his song (the "dear whoever" part, with his own name stuck in) and ends by throwing his arms up in the air.
His eyes are closed, like he's not paying attention to anything but himself.]
Well. [But then he cracks one eye open and looks up at the boy. HEY THERE.] Are you going to talk to me, or do I have to come up there?
no subject
Obviously Performer's Guild isn't his thing, but Silverbourne definitely seems like a good place to know. Kili will wander in and out of a few of the bars, just getting a feel for the place.]
no subject
So. Dio is going to have to entertain himself. Maybe someone else will play along.
Which is why he slides away from whatever miscellaneous not-a-bench object he was sitting on top of and plants himself right in the path of someone walking past. Hello!!]
Hi. I'm lost! [yeah, hardly] Can you help me find the lake?
no subject
The lake? Uh...
I'm afraid not, I only arrived here recently. I'm not very familiar with the city yet.

That's great! Do you want to come find it with me?
